Privacy Computing:
Through superposing Homomorphic Encryption (he) and Multi-party Secure Computation (MPC), PlatON achieves real privacy computing and ensures the privacy of input data as well as the computing logic itself. Compared with the trusted computations relying on trusted hardware from third-party manufacturers or TEE, trustless computing on PlatON relies barely on verifiable cryptographic assumptions, thus and thus provides unprecedented private data security without trust boundary in its life cycle.

From the perspective of blockchain technology, PlatON uses VRF to increase randomness, uses BFT-type consensus to support Byzantine fault tolerance, and imposes economic penalties. These are all for security considerations.
In each consensus cycle, the verification nodes participating in the BFT consensus are randomly selected from a larger range of nodes through the VRF, and the efficiency of the BFT consensus is improved through the parallel algorithm. These are the results of the balance between decentralization and scalability.

是的,PlatON采用了VRF+BFT的方式来实现区块链共识,采用了现代密码学的方式来保护用户的数据,代码都是经过审计的,并且网络也是经过了长期的运行测试,所以,我们相信PlatON的系统是足够安全的。

当然了,坦诚的讲,没有人能够说自己的系统是绝对安全的,任何程序都会有BUG,PlatON唯一能做的就是时刻保持对系统运行情况的关注,一旦发现BUG最快处理。正如我们目前看到的那样,PlatON的团队确实是按照这个方式在做。

PlatON Cross:

PlatON 这个英文名字的重要来由之一,是我们追向古希腊伟大的哲学家,也是全部西方哲学乃至整个西方文化最伟大的哲学家和思想家之一—— 柏拉图 的崇高致敬。

从莱布尼茨对于世界的计算属性和治理属性思考,从而给出的「 共和国」一词出发,我们回溯到对于技术与治理的源头,最终选择了 PlatON 来作为我们的名称和理念。

One of the important reasons for choosing the name of PlatON is to express our noble tribute to Plato, the great philosopher of ancient Greek, and one of the greatest philosophers and thinkers of all Western philosophy and even the entire Western culture.
