LatticeX Released Its First Funding Plan on Cryptography of Grants Program

On Mar.5,2020, LatticeX Foundation officially announced its Grants program, offering funding and great support to all promising projects relevant to LatticeX system and privacy-preserving computation. Cryptography, as an indispensable part of PlatON network, is one of the core programs of LatticeX Grants undoubtedly.

“As a core program in the first phase of Lattice Grants and also the main research and development direction we’ve kept diving into, cryptography is of great importance in Lattice system and PlatON network. We look forward to working with the cryptographers worldwide to facilitate the development of cryptography. Plus, with LatticeX Grants, we wish the global IT industry could value the development of cryptography and spare no efforts to support it.” the Head of Grants said.

LatticeX aims at realizing the exchange of data value by leveraging the ecosystem of sophisticated computing technologies to collaboratively unearth the value of data and benefit from data-value transactions throughout. LatticeX Foundation cultivates academic research, technology advancements and industrial applications in the fields that foster the development of LatticeX ecosystem. PlatON, as the infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation and distributed economies, works in conjunction with LatticeX and serves as the implementor of LatticeX.

Privacy-preserving computation and blockchain, the two core parts and also the biggest two strengthens of PlatON, are strongly related to cryptography. Privacy-preserving computation, built on cryptography, is the theory of computing and also the solution of safeguarding the whole life circle of private data. Blockchain, as the intermediate of trust, ensures the transmission of trust by leveraging the cryptography algorithms. Since 2017, PlatON has been investing in pushing the development of world’s cryptography, including sponsoring world’s renowned academic conferences, collaborating with top colleges on the research and development of cryptography by building labs jointly, funding the research projects of top colleges, etc. PlatON has gained respect and good reputation worldwide.

This funding plan on cryptography of Grants is the first and biggest funding program in the cryptography field, and it supports diversified researches on cryptography with $10M fund in total. All the funded projects will also win Non-scarce fund from LatticeX Foundation.
